PSY - Gentlemen
Yup, it has been a while his new so called hit video is out... if you just Google for it you can see a bunch of review about it and surely this time the youtube video has more view within a week than previous Gangnam style. I did try to watch the Gentlemen video but merely less than a minute is just shut it off as it is just stupid. Nonetheless, this is what entertainment is all about; creating a hit or phenomenon. Gangnam style has over 1.5 billion view till this date but I am not sure if Gentlemen will ever get close. Well maybe that is just my preferences. :) ciow
Glasslock
Was shopping for grocery and thinking to buy a microwave safe container to store my food and bring to work during the coming fasting month. Although I don't necessary need to as I could reheat the food at home and bring to work in a plastic tupperware but then somehow it feel safer. :)
Anyway was walking around the grocery mall and I found that glass container with the brand call Glasslock. It seems kinda famous as it is sold at Lulu, FFC and Al Meera, although each of them carry different sizes but this brand seems to be cheapest among other glass container.
At Lulu, so far I only found a rectangle shape with capability to store 1900ml at the price of QR32 and at FFC there are more variety from square, rectangle, round and even mixing bowl. Price wise I think they are pretty the same. As for Al Meera, they have pretty much of variety but in addition to that they have package or gift set with come in a box of four.
I try to Google Glasslock for Malaysia and it seems not many place sell this brand or maybe is not advertise on the Internet. That's make me wanted to buy a full set and bring it home hehe.. but for now I think I will get 2 1900ml container. One for my rice and so on and the other for soup Or maybe a round shape for soup which is much better.. I forgot to check the capacity for that. Makan Makan In Qatar - Yee Hwa Korean BBQ Buffet
It was a gathering to have a farewell dinner for a Malaysian that is leaving by the end of this month and we all decided to go and have a try at this new Korean / Japanese restaurant run by a Korean couple. The restaurant is located a Doha Downtown Hotel. One of the upscale hotel although their location is not in big city but then is strategic.
The buffet cost abut QR123 per pax without drinks and it is available on Monday and Wednesday night I believe. They also have sushi buffet which is on Sunday and lunch buffet on Friday noon. which is also the same price.
I would say the bbq meat is not bad but variety is limited, I would have prefer to take ala carte in Malaysia. But while in Qatar I would say having this buffet is cheaper. Like I said the variety of the buffet is not much, you will get unlimited supply of squid, chicken, beef as the main course, unlimited rice, unlimited side dish and that is it. :) I was having the assumption they serving herbal soup or some bibimbap but ELEK... Probably is hard to make a Korean bbq buffet... but if you are a meat lover this is the place...

A day of my birthday
Well is about 4 hours before the end of 9th April....and what I have done during the entire day? Lets start with having gossip in office about our company new direction. Then pretty much carry out with my report. It is not easy to draft a report for management as always need to think how to make it presentable and most important understandable by the management. In between is just all about eating fruits and almond nuts and Appelkaka which I consider my Bday cake hehehe. Fortunately, a very good friend SL remembers my Bday, she is probably the only person in Qatar that remembers. So she treated me dinner at a Turkey restaurant.. :P Is simple dinner but I would say is a good dinner and have a good conversation :) No complain and it is a good day :P

I started writing in before I put up a title as I don't know what is the best title for this post. This week is a wonderful week as SL have official complete a year at Qatar, although is nothing to shout about and another friend is leaving Qatar and we are doing a farewell for him. It is also the day I should remember my MOM for giving me a life. At time I felt I am neglecting my parents by coming to Qatar and not accompany them. I had done wrong to them and many mistake. Well what done is done and I can only looking forward to correct myself to be a better person.... I will keep remind myself to keep the 5 precepts.
Well I suppose to be happy with all the above but I wasn't as 2 days ago I was told by a friend that one of my buddy had cancer and is currently on stage 3. When I heard it, I almost broke apart and in denial as he is one talented good man. Everyone is so surprise so as him as it was too sudden and few weeks back he was all fine as my friend had met him.
As a Buddhist practitioner I should have not feel sorrow (attachment) and embrace the challenge with him and should focus on make him strong and cheerful. I guess it is hard when we are emotionally attach and do not understand death and rebirth deep enough and death is always a taboo to talk about.Friends and family around him shouldn't add mental suffering on top of his physical suffering. I can't do much for him while I am here but I can only pray for his healing and may Lord Buddha have mercy on him. As I do admit I am far from being enlightened and still have attachment but I will try to do my best.

Makan Makan In Qatar - Ikea Restaurant
Last weekend to Ikea at Qatar with few Malaysian friends and I would say is probably the first time I had tasted Ikea food. ehh wait I tried their ice cream at Dubai.... I hardly go Ikea Malaysia because I hate the jam. Anyway I had a Gravad Lax not sure why they want to use some funky name as it is just a plain raw salmon with vege and wasabi sauce. Well, the salmon is fresh and the wasabi sauce... yummy! BUT too little portion as it hardly fill 10% of my tummy so I went to get Appelkaka which is really good.
On the way back we stop by Ikea grocery store and I bought a box of Appelkaka back home. I love it as it can be eaten by letting it defrost itself for 5 hours and just nice for my snack during lunch. Love it to the max
