Makan Makan In Qatar - Sweet World

Bump into a newly open Arabic dessert shop at Al Sadd Doha. Well I did wanted to find dessert to bring back home for my cousin who asked for it last month or so. The shop look very clean and nicely design. Girly or cute I would say.

The shop have a lot of variety of dessert from such as typical Arabic dessert, baklava, Kunafah and to chocolate, cakes and ice cream. The person in charge or manager is very well manner and friendly in such he offered me 2 free sample of Kunafah. I didn't try their baklava which I wanted to buy but from the taste of Kunafah I had, I am betting their baklava will be good as well. Overall I do recommend people to try Sweet World at Al Sadd Doha. It is located just next to Al Sadd Mall.

Doesn't look good as well.

This shop is really famous in selling kunafah. Many Qatari have recommended it and I tried before when my colleague brought to office and I plan to go there myself very soon. Anyway here is a picture of the previous kunafah I had in the office and I found a video about this sweeeet shop.

Makan Makan In Qatar : AL Nashama Sweets (Kunafah)

I probably have mentioned somewhere before that my favorite food/dessert in Qatar are kunafah and um ali (bread pudding) but kunafah would be my top pick. All this while I am only having kunafah when my colleague brought to work as I do not know which are the best. I did once follow a local Qatari recommendation for his choice of kunafah.. well is bad and expensive.

Anyway this shop Al Nashama aka Habibah serve good kunafah. As usual all shop sell two type of kunfah, one is the crispy crust of vermicelli which this shop version is the orange colored one and soft semolina dough and both cover with cheese which is the main ingredient and the type of cheese play a big role how the kunafah taste like.  There 2 more shop that I know serve good kunafah and I will post it up when I have try it.
