Jalan Jalan at Malaysia - Pulau Ketam

On my last trip back to Malaysia, Eunice asked to go to Pulau Ketam. It was a spontaneous trip as usual, nothing was plan. It has been over 10 years since my last trip to Pulau Ketam.  It does bring back some memories and it is easy to do so as nothing much has changed except houses now have big satellite dish. Anyway the purpose we going there is to have food which seafood and their famous nasi lemak. To be honest, the seafood was fresh but like many other bloggers commented the way they cook isn't that great and as for the price.. well it is not cheaper which it suppose too. So if you fancy seafood you probably can just have it at Port Klang area or Kuala Selangor.

Luggage Bag zipper safety

We have seen a lot of YouTube video show that how easily to open a zipper on a bag by using a ball pen. I have tried it as it is that easy with just a poke in between the zip and it is opened. Many of friends who travel a lot are worry not that people will steal item from their bag but people putting something that not suppose to be in.

And so most of them uses a hard case luggage bag with a clip on number combination lock like a briefcase, well lets call it giant briefcase OR they will wrap their bag in plastic at the airport. I am not keen with both solution mainly I am worry if the combination lock spoil which pretty often then I probably have to smash the bag into pieces and wrapping is just not my thing.

So, I though of how to improved the security using zipper bag. I am not sure if this is a foolproof but is worth to try. After you done with packing, zip up your bag and zip your bag all the way to the end don't 1/4 or in the middle since now all bag come with 2 zippers. Then and if possible when you check in or scan the bag, have the security guy or ladies at the counter to stick the security sticker just beside the zipper. This way, if the crook open the zip with a ball pen and he would have to move the zipper to close it back and this way he definitely would destroy the security sticker. :) In addition you could also get luggage strap with combination lock as an extra security  :)

I use a tape as a sample security sticker :)

Qatar Sand Dune

Finally after 6 months I finally get to upload the video for our sand dune trip last December. As the video file was too large it always fail to upload until yesterday I manage to upload it during midnight.

Qatar Sand Dune

Last weekend, I finally gather enough people to go for a safari trip after being at Qatar for over a year. Mainly hard to find my friends to go with is because many of them fear death. There has been a lot of death in desert safari especially among young Qatari. Somehow tour desert safari are much safer than the stunt done by those young Qatari. Many young Qatari race their Land Cruiser in the desert the moment they obtain their driving license but tour desert safari are driven by professional.

Well I would recommend anyone who are in any desert to go for sand dune bashing. Is trilling, is scary and most of the time is fun.........  We took the trip from a local tour QIA. It cost us about QR 250/pax after very hard negotiation.. The driver name is Salem, he is independent driver who work part time for QIA where is day job he is an accountant.. :P and he speak good English.

We speed off from our pick up point about 140 km/h towards sealine and there is where he deflate the tire to get better grip on the sand. From there the sand dune bashing start and it is about 30 minutes... we took a few deep plunge.... and is crazy... everyone laugh when we are back on the ground.. maybe because the car didn't flip over .. :P

Part of the package is they will stop at the beach close Saudi Arabia  and have lunch.. The lunch was so so which I could had at any Arabic shop in Doha. Well to summarize all here are some of the pic I took.

Sekeping Serendah

Sekeping Serendah is a private land in a forest where they have several chalet for rent. It is just outskirt of Rawang town and it is not deep inside into the forest. It is pretty cool if you want to get away from the city for couple of days as it is not far from KL.

Everything is really nature... you really enjoy peace and quiet (some) as there is no TV, no AC and not even cell phone signal. There isn't a reception to greet you.. everything is manual.

Lotus Desaru Resort

My recent trip back in Malaysia, I took a quick trip back to Desaru and stay at the same resort I went to last year. We didn't choose other resort maybe because there isn't a lot of choice and yet this place seem decent and I got it free :)

This time is pass by Johor Premium Outlet, a discount store that I hoping to check it out as the last time I went to this place when I was in US. Well the verdict, the design is pretty close to the one in US but to shop at that area, hmmm I don't think is worth it as  the price is not any cheaper like it is in US.

Well as usual I don't do much when go to beach holiday.. mostly is sleep, hanging out and look for food.. So to cut short I just upload the pic here.
