Makan Makan In Qatar - Restaurant Puti Bungsu Doha

Get to know about this restaurant last week. Is another restaurant open by a retired Malaysian and it emphasis on more Indonesian food and some Malaysian food.
I had their breakfast on that day which is  mee goreng, telur sambal and kari kambing and a cup of teh tarik. I would say the taste was pretty good. I would recommend it as an alternative to Holiday Villa Malaysian breakfast which only available on weekend but here is everyday. 

This place open from 7am to 11pm as per their FB page and they also have variety of other stuff such as soto ayam, nasi pataya, tom yam and such.

Give it a try but be warned that the place is kinda small and could be crowded during the weekend.

Makan Makan In Qatar - Kafe Ole, Holiday Villa

For those Malaysian that have patronize Taste of Asia for nasi lemak and teh tarik, there is an alternative you have better quality food, nice cozy clean environment at almost the same price as TOA.

I have stopped going to TOA for almost 2 years reason is the place is dirty and cramp and hot and parking is also an issue. Do give Kafe Ole a try, the chef are Malaysian  so the taste is very close to home.

The Malaysia breakfast is only available on the weekend which is Friday and Saturday morning from 730 to 1130.

Some of the menu I do remember are

- Teh Tarik
- Nescafe Tarik
- Nasi Lemak
- Mee Goreng
- Curry fish
- Fried chicken
- Rendang chicken
- Sambal sotong
- Sambal udang
- Beef rending
- Roti canai
- Lontong
- Malay dessert / kuih
- Chinese big pau

I also notice they do sell can 100Plus.. :D

LHDN - Income Tax

It is the time of the year again where all Malaysian are busy filing up their income tax to the Income Revenue Board. It is pretty confusing when doing taxes as all this while I have someone to do it for me. The taxable income depends on the following;

1) A resident or non resident. Refer to this to get more details

2) The income you receive is from a service you working for a company in Malaysia or overseas.

As I have read from the article I found on Google, if you are a non resident and your income is obtain from overseas, then you are not taxable. If you are non-resident and your income are from a Malaysian company then you are taxable with a different rate compare to resident. If you are resident, well you can't escape to pay tax.

In addition, if you are non resident working at overseas and planning to buy a property, it is advise to do so while you are at overseas and non while you return back to Malaysia as resident this is to reduce the complexity of you having to explain the grandmother story to IRB. Got this from some forum.

As for those leaving Malaysia for work, please and please fill in CP21 form! I know some people did not do it but it is a must!

Makan Makan Malaysia - USJ Murni

Those who have been a patron of Murni SS2 mamak can visit their branch as USJ Taipan. I know many of you have know about it as they have open the branch for quite some time ago but I only been there like 2 weeks ago... Anyway, as always I order my favorite mee raja but sadly the one at SS2 taste a lot better. At the same time I also order the spaghetti meatballs and it is fabulous.

It is a good place for me as it is much nearer to my home and there are more parking over there. Hope to go there again when I am at Malaysia again.

It has been more than 2 years since I step into this restaurant. It is famous one thing which I know.. Zhi Pau Kai aka Paper Wrap Chicken.. it taste sweet and the chicken is very tender. I love it..

Went to collect my US Visa at Wisma MCA with a friend. So we decide to drop by Pavilion to have our lunch and meet up with her sister. Searching and looking for the places we end up at Thai Express. Never been there so is my first. A bit ulu.. well thats me.. hardly go out one.

The food is great! Tasty.. love it... price is pretty ok... Well to cut short I let the picture do the talking

Green curry chicken.... nice.. better than Secret Recipe one

Appetizer.... Papaya salad.. it is nice and spicy but is alot.. we didn't get to finish it.

Makan Makan Malaysia - Korean BBQ Seoul Garden

Went to Korea BBQ for dinner on Sunday.. I think this is the same owner as the one @ Bandar Puteri Puchong and Bandar Bukit Raja Klang. I had it at Bukit Tinggi Klang ....

The food has always been great. It has been a long time I didnt go there.. out of sudden my mom suggest to go there... :) Well the menu is pretty much the same except there is a new set call special set where they have bbq pork, bbq chicken, seafood soup, kimchi soup, herbal chicken, some rice which I dont know what it is call. Here are the pics

Makan Makan Malaysia - Crab week

ohh my cholesterol shooting up the chart... hehe... having 3 time feasting on crab.....

 

on monday, i suppose to go to Fatty Crab... but forgot it close on every Monday so went to the opposite restaurant .. Pangkor seafood... welll is was just so so and expensive....

and so because not satisfied with what i had on monday...... on Friday i travel down to kelana jaya for fatty crab... and damn... it was so pack... i have to queue up to get a seat..... so ngam saw my uncle there but too bad he didn't pay for my bill.. :( anyway he was with this friends or client...

 

and so today... i had family dinner at ju xiang seafood restaurant.. a new restaurant at tmn sentosa.. is the same row as the new sentosa police station.... i saw their menu.. waa got crab.... they have about 7 to 8 type of cooking... since i went with my family which is not a crab kaki my friend.. i just ordered 1kg....... cream crab......

after much await.. the crab finally came... the smell of the gravy and the look of it... i already knew this must be good and it did.... the gravy is actually made of butter and mix with peanut... yeah... this is what i tasted .. something new...

well i am sure i be going there again for more crab soon.. got to gather all my crab member oredi..

Makan Makan Malaysia - Fatty Crab @ Tmn Megah

I have been a frequent customer to this place.... but never post up anything about it.. I bet everyone knows this place... is not new..


I love the crab.. or the hai.... haha anyway it serve with nice hot, sour spicy gravy... which goes damn well with their fried rice... if you are there.. i think u can walap at least 1.5kg per person.. hehe..


Not to forget.. do order their steam fish and CHICKEN wing.... it is really good....


I cant predict when I be there again.. but then it will be soon......

Makan Makan Malaysia - Restoran Hock Seng Steamboat

This restaurant just open yesterday and it also belong to one of my customers. So my family decide to "pong chan" and hope it will help to bloom his business. Originally this guy oredi have a steamboat restaurant at Klang Bukit Tinggi. Now he is openning the branch at Sunway Mentari.

It is located at the new row of shop at Sunway Mentari. It is next to LDP and opposite a Bak Kut Teh shop. It is a new concept for this shop compare to Klang as this one is a buffet style which is pretty common at Sunway area. But there is a different between this shop compare to others such as Yuen Steamboat. This is because the ingredient is FRESH! I have my fair share of the variety of choices. They just started this so I would consider it is good. You all can try it out and give your verdict. :P Here I would just share some picture I took you can also view it from my facebook profile.

Makan Makan Malaysia - Virgin Chicken Rice

a.k.a. nasi ayam dara.. i think this is what is it is called..... My friend brought me out for lunch today.. or I am the one who brought him out but the show me the way. He brought me to this place at Putrajaya Precint 9 food court...

There he place this order Nasi Ayam but from the menu there is not such thing as just Nasi Ayam except for Nasi Ayam Dara.... virgin chicken.. one can think of is that the chicken is just a chicks.. have not get the pleasure to be laid...

You know typical Malay chicken rice is alot different from Hailam chicken rice.... but to my surprise this Virign Chicken Rice is actually good.... I love it the chicken is tender and they have a special source which I can't explain...
