Samsung Galaxy S5 Duos

Recently Samsung have release a dual sim S5 only at China only. Reason is I can think of maybe it is manufactured there and would probably cost less to have China as test market afterall they have a large group of consumers.  Or maybe I'm wrong at Xiaomi is currently the most wanted phone at China due to it's power pack specification and low price compare to Samsung or Apple.

Anyway Samsung decided to have an international release of S5 Duos and Middle East region is chosen to be first.  The specifications for the Duos and normal S5 are exactly the same except for additional slot of sim card. Both phones are LTE capable.

Price at Qatar for both are about QR100 difference. For the standard S5 is currently price at QR2375 and the Duos are now priced at QR2499 with free Samsung original S5 flip wallet.  That itself cost QR199.

So  I went to check it out and here is the picture I got.

By the way the local authorized distributor also sell older model S3. I did askes the price for comparison or for your reference, it is QR100.

Update Jelly Bean on S3

Successfully update my S3 to Jelly Bean today after several attempt due to KIES keep prompting error message that the phone is low in battery. I thought it is an error because the phone was plug into the PC via USB. In the end I waited for the battery to be charged up to 85% and try to update again and it works this time...

S3

After such a long consideration I finally got myself a new phone 3 weeks ago and mainly it is because my current phone is given up on me as some of the button no longer work. I have been using for 3 weeks now and so far it is pretty stable and being a smartphone it help me to organize my stuff better such as calendar and reminder.

Battery wise, I would say it is still not as good as what it claimed. Heavy usage of WIFI will drink the juice of the battery fairly quickly. Well nothing much to say but I am enjoying it.... :P

New Phone?

I have always wanted to get a new phone but still today I haven't do as I keep feeling I don't really need it but then it is convenient as I don't have to carry a bulky iPad to surf Internet when I need to and due to certain application are quite useful to have.

I want to buy iPhone 4S but didn't do so because of the small screen.... so my next choice is Samsung Galaxy S2 as it is much slimmer and lighter and bigger screen than iPhone 4S yet I still haven't buy it because I know the price will be coming down when S3 is release which the latest rumors says it will be out on May 3rd.  So I will wait for another 2 weeks and see how is the price drop and maybe I will end buy buying S3 if the spec and price a reasonable. :P

Tired of iPad 2

After a week of using it, I already tired of it. Using it for one week I restore / format it 3 times. Some of the apps crash, hang and even make the unit no sound....... Just restore everything back again and kept it to minimal application. Just set up the access to office email, ppstv and online radio, sync my mp3 and that's about it....

and I start to hate iTune as I not sure why it keep prompt me my ID is not authorize to install application even I have authorize it..... DAMN...

If it give me more problem I think I will chuck the damn thing in the drawer together with her sister iPad 1.

Unboxing iPad 2

Just got my office iPad 2 few days ago and at first I thought hmmm it is just another iPad as the iPad that I previous had was chuck inside my drawer for months when I finish my evaluation. So this iPad 2 came long which my boss bought 2 of it and I not sure why as I have complete my report and it doesn't seem to have additional stuff other than camera and slimmer design which I don't denied that it look SEXY. Oh yeah,, damn .. my boss took the white one!!!! and pass me the black version argggghh.

So I was playing around with iPad 2 and because this is office equipment I can't jailbreak it. DAMN! So only choice is to get free apps from Apple Store. Was browsing around I found several several cools apps which got me addicted to iPad,

1) Online movie streaming apps
2) Live Forex rate
3) Live update of KLSE market

So, yeah I am hooked with it now.. hehe and here are some of the un-boxing pic

That's the box

Microsoft SCCM - Tips & Tricks

Just want to share or save this as a reminder for myself about some info I got during my last SCCM OSD workshop.

SCCM OSD uses a lot of VBS and query on the WMI. You can find out the WMI property by running wbemtest .

Another thing is you can extract machine driver and import it into SCCM drivers node by using this tools Double Driver at www.boozet.org

That is all. :)

IE9 tak ngam with Blogger

Just upgraded to IE9 and I noticed there is a small problem with Blogger as my recent blog entries have some spacing issue. I have adjust the spacing while I am composing it but when I publish the blog, there isn't any spacing. It all turn out to be just a one long paragraph.

At first I thought it is due to the Internet connection that is slow as Blogger doesn't capture all the spacing that I do. Until now I try to post and edit my previous blog using Firefox and all the spacing turn out to be what I expected... So I guess it must be IE9 issue...

Peace Out..
