Hydrogen Water

You probably have heard of Hydrogen Water over and over again but today I am not lecturing you about it as your probably aware about its benefits and how to obtain the benefits at a lower cost.

We know or heard packet Hydrogen water from Japan with the brand I. I have also heard of their marketing plan and their products. It is worth it? Does it really cost that much?

Each packet of I cost about RM 14.00 or less if you purchase in bundle and each packet is only 200ML. Basically in order to have great benefits you probably need to drink 1L per day.... so you do the maths. Secondly, I have doubt where the source of water came from.. I have no idea that is why I am having doubts. Then, Hydrogen can escape over time after storage so your very last pack of I may not contain that much of Hydrogen.

Instead of buying something we can get freely, staying away from those marketing plan, nice packaging, you can get self produce hydrogen water at a lower cost. VWA H2CAP is the world most portable Hydrogen water generator. It is made is Korea and it is tested that it able to filled a 600ml bottle water with over 1000ppb of Hydrogen.

The different with VWA H2CAP compare to other portable Hydrogen water are, it is the smallest of its form, very light, powered with power bank or other USB source which mean you have no issue with carrying on the plan. It also has backwash function and with AI built-in it able to tell you the status on the device.

Compare to same level of Hydrogen generator, VWA H2CAP are more portable, small, and safe to use with purified water bottle. It fits on standard 30mm water bottle. Beware purchasing cheap Hydrogen generator as they have potential produce Ozone gas in the water which will harm your body.

So why buy VWA H2CAP and produce your own Hydrogen water? 1) You consume the Hydrogen water as soon you made it and you have replenish the water with Hydrogen anytime. 2) It is the COST.

Take I water for example

RM14 per packet (200ml) x 365 days = RM5110

Compare to VWA H2CAP

The device cost RM 938 (price is accurate at the point of this post is posted) with a life span of 4 to 5 years. So each year is only RM235 and each time your are consuming 500ml of Hydrogen water.

MM2H

Here is the view for applying MM2H from a Malaysian point of view, whether to do it yourself or your agent it depends on how much it cost for you to travel to Malaysia to submit the documents compare to the fees charged by the agent. If you so happen to visiting Malaysia you might as well do it yourself. Pretty much you need to visit Malaysia twice; one for submitting all the document on hand, second to get the visa upon approval.

Each visit should be at least a week (5 working days) if you have all the proper documents ready.  The approval rate is high as long you are financially strong. Don't worry if you see your application status remain the same after you have submitted the document.

I knew an applicant who got the approval letter yet the system still shown pending approval. The system finally change the status to approval 3 months later after receiving the actual letter. I guess there are some backlogs.

You can refer to the official MM2H site for the steps, and some google will give you the ideas and advise on what to do. I wouldn't say is hard, and with Uber or Grab, car sharing facilities it is easy to move around.

You must be patient, if you think you have a good supporting document, very high chance your application will approve. It is just a matter of time. Minimum 6 months ..

Xiaoyi camera PC home client

Today I got to found out that Xiaoyi PC home camera software allow you to group 4 camera and view them simultaneously.

This a  cool new features as it it now look like it is a real cctv monitor.

Xiaomi Xiaofang

Bought 2 xiaofang today to test it out how it is. As you can see, it came with  usb cable and a charging adapter unlike some online site it is not included.  Pretty much you get to know what it in the package from YouTube unboxing video.

So I just skip to the part of setup.  The setup is the same as xiao yi smart home camera but I found it is much faster to pair the camera.

It is much faster to access the camera as well and when you accessed the camera it always show you the default  view unlike xiao yi it will slightly zoom in.

The infrared or night vision is better. Much brighter.  Understand it supports 64gb sd card which I have not try it out.

Most of the menu are in English.  No issues updating the firmware. The design is nice and cute and best of all it have magnetic base.

I would say this is a good buy as the price seem to be cheaper than xiaoyi.

As for motion detection it does work but you can't sent the schedule.  It have continuous recording as well as time lapse which I not sure what it is for .

Buying a house at HK

Be aware that buying a house at HK is so much different from buying a house in Malaysia.

In Malaysia if you fail to obtain a loan for the house you bought within the stated time frame you can get back your deposit.  This rules doesn't exist in HK and the agent and developers will not tell you this and they will suck up those deposit just like that and instantly get rich.

Daylight robbery.

Update

Found out in HK when you buy house you first sign a temporary agreement and pay your deposit and 5 days later the developer will ask you to sign the final agreement which you won't get back your deposit based on the law in HK.  As for temporary agreement, the law didn't say you can't get back your deposit and getting back your deposit is a hassle you have to argue with your developer which most of the time they will not refund.

But in HK there is a government unit setup 3 years ago for first time house buyer to file a complaint to the developer for any dispute they may have or if the buyer found any discrepancy in the agreement.

The rule of thumb is.  If the bank loan can't cover the purchase amount leave it.  Don't rely on or even think about getting a loan from developer as it is trap

Xiaomi Xiaofang ismartalarm spot camera

Xiaomi recently release a new camera call xiaofang aka little square which you may notice when you try to add a new camera at mi home apps you will see an entry there. 2 actually.  Why? I explain later as the entry are in Chinese.

While doing my research I found out that ismartalarm also have the identical camera call spot and this increase my curiosity who actually designed this camera and who copy who?

Some said xiaomi copy ismartalarm and made it better with 1080 definition . There are also someone said ismartalarm bought the right to sell from xiaomi.  Either way it doesn't really matters to me as long it can be use outside China.

One interesting fact I found that some claim that xiaomi Xiaofang can use with ismartalarm android app.  But recent update of mi home app I notice that mi home also support ismartalarm camera this only proofs both cameras are the same.

So happy testing

Xiaomi XiaoYi Home Smart Camera PC Software

Xiaoyi recently launch a PC software for user to view their Xiaoyi home smart camera feeds on their desktop or notebook for a larger view.  This is useful as you can hook up your PC to a large tv for larger viewing.

There are 2 versions of the software and it just like the 2 versions of Yi home mobile apps, where one is for international version and another is for China version camera.

DIY magnetic Mosquito net

Finally figure out how to close the kitchen wall to prevent bugs from coming in. At the first wanted to hack of the bricks and put up aluminum windows but gonna cost about 2000.

Time spent on Google let me found this DIY Mosquito net which cost less than a hundred for the size I wanted. 5ft x 5ft. There are people who can install for you as well but I was quoted 350 for it. That's about 270 more if I do it myself

Anyway is pretty easy to do it. I did few mistake by hammering down the magnet which is a no no. Just push the magnet into the pvc pipe will do.

XiaoYi Home Smart Camera

There are plenty of website guiding you all on how to setup XiaoYi Home Smart Camera or even how to troubleshoot it if the camera you bough were manufacture after November 2015. As for camera manufactured after November 2015, there is some kind of chip embedded in it and if you would have update the firmware on a camera made for China, you will then unable to use it as the camera will give you a message 'This camera cannot be used outside China" and it will shut down by itself and the only way to fix this is to flash back to old firmware.

I bought a camera online, China version and it was working perfectly and was in English version as well as having the latest online firmware. And then I got another few camera and try to setup it all over again with a new MI account so I reset all the camera and BANG I am having problem connecting the camera to my WIFI, I thought it could be my MI account issues or firmware issues which I doubt it very much because all the camera are not having the error message.

So I thought to just flash one of the camera firmware and BANG.... it really failed to work. So I keep thinking what is the problem then I end up found the reason behind it. The very first time I can't connect to the WiFi is because I have all the camera all power up which is a big mistake.

Then I end up reset all my camera and power off and reboot my router and setup one camera at a time and it works but I screw up one good camera which I am trying to fix it now.

CONCLUSION

- Camera bought before the November 2015 can be updated to latest firmware
- Latest camera manufactured date can't update to latest firmware else you will kill it.
- Power up the camera one by one to set it up

Use only China version apps on your phone.

Makan Makan in Qatar - Ruby Wu

Ruby Wu at Radisson Blue or Ramada Hotel is one of the few Chinese restaurant in Doha. As I know Ruby Wu is pretty well known Chinese restaurant.

First impression to the restaurant is ok. The decor is pretty nice and the restaurant is about 60% packed.

I had a mushrooms soup, pan froed cod fish, stir fry duck with walnut and stir fry rice noodles. Being a Chinese testing out the food, I would say is just average according to my taste bud.

So, I unlikely will patron there again in the near future or I should say I don't have the chance again as I dont know when I return to Doha.

Makan Makan in Hong Kong - Ah Yat Abalone

My very time having dinner at Ah Yat Abalone. I have always pass by this restaurant at Genting Highland but never dine in as I heard is pretty expensive but didn't expect it is that expensive until today I had my dinner at the restaurant at Hong Kong.

This is my very first HKD 8000 abalone  stuffed into my mouth. It does taste very different from other abalone but then I don't think I want to spend so much money on a abalone again. It really a shocking experience hehe.

Jalan Jalan in Qatar - 2016 Qatar ExxonMobil Tennis Open

My first ever live tennis match. The game was exciting where Novak trash Rafa easily in 6-1 , 6-2 match.  Great closing of the event there a lady sang the song titanium.

But as usual the crowd control was bad.. needless for me to elaborate further.

Jalan Jalan in Qatar - Kayaking at Al Thakira Mangrove

Was thinking about this outdoor event for quite sometime but never get to do it and somehow I went for it anyway. Got in touch with Max from aquasportqatar.

The kayaking starts at Al Thakira beach which most people will go for bbq. From there we kayak to an opposite or the other end of the beach where the mangroves grow and the flamingo are. Each trip took about 45 minutes.  Is pretty safe as we mostly kayak on shallow water.

Unfortunately there are people around at the end of the beach which scared of most of the flamingo and we only manage to see one white flamingo and a grey herring.

Jalan Jalan in Qatar - Broadway Show

This my 1st ever broadway show. I never thought I will attend such a show as I thought it will be boring. But I was wrong, the show was great and the actors are good. Glad I attend it.

Jalan Jalan in Qatar - Inter VS PSG

It my second football match in Qatar. It wasn't that exciting maybe because is just a friendly match. Anyhow I enjoy it and it is free

Tips in Qatar - Dead Cat

How to remove a dead cat in your engine bay if you are in Qatar?

Well pretty much every car wash in the country will never do that as Baladiya will fined the car wash center.

It took a day before I found a car wash willing to do it and it is also because the nice guy at the car wash willing to help. Although he did ask for some tips which I would have willing to give but many others are not willing to do even we pay them.

Fortunately we still found a nice guy in Qatar.

Old airport.

Makan Makan in Qatar - Fish Corner

Seems to be a new restaurant as I have not seen it before. It is located exactly opposite of tgif c ring road. The food is good but dont order their appetizer.

Price is pretty ok.. for seafood restaurant.

Makan Makan in Dubai - Din Tai Fung Mall of Emirates

Din Fai Fung just open a branch at Dubai Mall of Emirates 3 months ago. It is jam pack with peoples.

Food price slightly more expensive but taste is pretty ok.

The menu are almost the same as in Singapore or Malaysia except the obvious no pork.. but for a Chinese restaurant at middle east I would say this is considerably good and affordable
