Counting down to CNY
I know it is a bit early to play Chinese New Year song but this school choir sang a very good and nice CNY song. It is a combination of 3 song from previous CNY done by Astro and the teacher or conductor did a very good job.

Slanted Head
I have been looking at some photos and first impression I got is what is wrong with their neck. I know many of us wanted to look good in a photograph session and many follows what professional advice which is to slanted their head or bend over or take 45 degrees of the face to look thinner or better but then it doesn't work not for everyone...
I seen many photos that those who did the above actually look fatter or even look like they are having some neck injury where the entire head is almost falling off....Just stand straight and you look beautiful.

Makan Makan in Qatar - California Tortila
I went to this place as I have no other idea where to eat in Qatar and since this is a new restaurant so thought I will give it a try. I missed TexMex food since my last trip to Texas about 4 years ago. I order a chicken burritos and it is disappointing meal. I can't explain more but just to say it doesn't look as tasty. I won't recommend it.
Makan Makan in Qatar - Thai Cuisine
Recently there is a new Thai restaurant opened in Qatar which is about a month ago. So far I would say the quality of the food is good and highly recommended. The restaurant is a pretty small place mainly due to high rent in Qatar so I guess the owner is trying to keep the cost low but they have decorate it pretty well. There are some elements of Thai such as the lighting fixture and they have pretty nice toilet. :)
Due to the restaurant is newly opened they don't have a full range of Thai selection but they have enough for you to try. I won't describe much about what they have as you probably would have know what Thai food is..such as Tom Yam, Pad Thai and so fort. So I pretty much will summarize it as below
Food taste: Good
Price: Reasonable for Qatar living standard (would prefer if they give a slight larger portion)
Ambiance: Pretty ok .. clean
Location: So so. Not many car park, not a problem for me as it is walking distance from where I stay
Service: Excellent
Business hour : 11AM to 1030PM
Not to miss: Do ask for their chilli paste. It is really good. I can just eat it with plain rice.
Location: Al Jazeera Street, the turning right after Red Lobster. Go towards the end it will be on your right when you are about to reach the traffic light.
You can find more information here http://www.royalthaidelivery.com/

Kodaline - All I want
Bump into this song when watching MTV Arabia.... I fell into the tune at the first hear but when I when search the lyric I fell into the song completely... It reminds of the passing of my nanny. Gosh I miss her and felt sorry I didn't get to say goodbye. May you Rest In Peace and God bless your beautiful soul. Your love and sacrifice to our family will be always remembered.
Women Hidden Stash
What I am about to write here are my personal opinion and views. It doesn't represent all women in the world but then I think it is good that it does.... :)
So what I am trying to say is WOMEN are very good in saving extra cash without anyone knows about it especially their husband or BF. You will never expect or ever think of that they have a secret stash and I believe every women has it even they are still single.
Those that I know does have a secret stash under their pillow and now the best part is they hid it very well. I know a girl, well women by now always travel overseas, have upper class meal and luxury item yet still have a big stash hidden under her bed..and YET everyday they complain NO MONEY!
Women are seriously hard to understand and very secretive even they say they love the other half very much. Trust me they always have a little secret that all men are not aware about.

Drive Thru ATM - With Enhance Security
With the recent news that I keep reading on FB where it is so often that people got rob when they are withdrawing money from the ATM. Mainly this happen it developing and poor country.
While I am at Qatar, I notice that Qatar's banks offer drive thru ATM that are scattered mostly at petrol station. This is pretty a surprise for me as if these ATM were located openly in a petrol station I am pretty sure the robbers would have drag it off or blow them up.
Anyway, I was having the idea that drive thru ATM may work in Malaysia with additional security in place. So my idea is to setup a room or capsule made tampered glass with safety tint all around it, and the front and back contain a sliding door with the size acceptable for Malaysian car and not to forget CCTV as well.
How it works, well when the car approach the entry sliding glass door, the door the automatically open itself and once the car are completely got in (which can be measure thru laser) and using a floor pressure sensor it can detect the car is in the capsule and the sliding door at its allowed maximum speed slides to close as this as to prevent crook sneak in behind their back.
Inside the capsule, it is attached with mirror in a position where the driver can see whether there are crooks hiding at the side or behind the vehicle. At the given time (with display timer countdown) presume 2 minutes, the driver must insert the ATM card into the ATM machine if not it will assume the driver would like to cancel the transaction and want to leave due to security reason. OR with alternative the room is equipped with audio sensor where if the driver honk and the audio sensor (when it hit certain decibel) will trigger to open the front sliding door to the driver to escape.
IF all goes well the driver in the room withdrew his money and the money he took his card he has a time frame about 10 secs for him to wind up his windows and the front sliding door open for him to drive out.
I know this is freaking expensive but I think it is cool marketing for any BANK to promote safety to bank with them.

Minions de Arabia
With the help from a friend, I able to get the entire Minions Happy Meals set from McDonald's Qatar.
Minions Attacks
As many of Asians would have know or hear about the Minions craze in Malaysia's McDonald's during their promotion to give away the toys with the purchase of McDonald's Happy Meal. There are videos show those maniacs broke the shutter door of McDonald's. Here is the video if you have not seen it,
It is a different atmosphere for Minions in Qatar, somehow they seem unwanted here. No much craze and people queuing during the midnight. I guess McDonald's in US would have a good laugh watching Malaysian buying so many Happy Meal. Over here in Qatar, only the kids are asking for the toys and and only kids eating Happy Meal. So relatively there are plenty of Minions inside the box so much so when a local kids ask for it they will throw bunch to them for extras. I wanted to but I don't think they will give me.. I probably make big bucks selling Minions :) Anyway there are only 8 Minions in McDonald's Qatar compare to 9 that are in Malaysia and out of the 9 only 4 of Malaysian version are the same as Qatar version which are;
The remaining 5 Minions from Malaysia are
I saw a few YouTube video that Australia McDonald's has few character which Malaysia and Qatar don't have which are
There are 2 character which are not available elsewhere other than South America which are
And very recent I saw another Minion appear on sale at ebay which kinda rare and I not sure which country sold that but it seems like it is sold in USA.
I have the poster of Minions from McDonald's Malaysia and I took are picture of the display unit at McDonald's Qatar which you guys can compare yourself. I guess there are total of 19 Minions to collect or there more which are available at other country? I wonder who has all of it..
This summarized the Minions availability based on geographical area.

i kill my luggage bag........ LOCK
In my previous post I bought 2 new luggage bag and today I killed the combination lock :) All this while I never use the numeric lock that is attached with luggage bag because I saw my mom had bad experience with it as it doesn't open. So despite the FREE lock I always used a padlock or some sort of lock.
Nothing else to do I though of testing to break the combination lock as I remember I read an article on the Internet teaches how to do it.... Not gonna mention how I kill it as you can find the instruction on YouTube. Anyway the lock is still fine but somehow the correct combination I had set doesn't pop up the lock now. I am lucky that I didn't try it while the zipper is lock with it. So yeah I screw it up I guess it crappy quality since the bag is cheap and made in China. I guess those expensive bag like Samsonite lock are better.. but next time if I would have buy those branded bag I will mess with the lock first hehe to try if it really last with abuse. I mean if a thief want to break into your bag he probably will do the same like me and end up the lock is unusable. Thanks to my itchy hand and fucking boring weekend.

Luggage Bag zipper safety
We have seen a lot of YouTube video show that how easily to open a zipper on a bag by using a ball pen. I have tried it as it is that easy with just a poke in between the zip and it is opened. Many of friends who travel a lot are worry not that people will steal item from their bag but people putting something that not suppose to be in.
And so most of them uses a hard case luggage bag with a clip on number combination lock like a briefcase, well lets call it giant briefcase OR they will wrap their bag in plastic at the airport. I am not keen with both solution mainly I am worry if the combination lock spoil which pretty often then I probably have to smash the bag into pieces and wrapping is just not my thing.
So, I though of how to improved the security using zipper bag. I am not sure if this is a foolproof but is worth to try. After you done with packing, zip up your bag and zip your bag all the way to the end don't 1/4 or in the middle since now all bag come with 2 zippers. Then and if possible when you check in or scan the bag, have the security guy or ladies at the counter to stick the security sticker just beside the zipper. This way, if the crook open the zip with a ball pen and he would have to move the zipper to close it back and this way he definitely would destroy the security sticker. :) In addition you could also get luggage strap with combination lock as an extra security :)

Body weight training
I have been following a set of training routine using own body weigh as due to lack of gym facilities in my apartment and expensive fee at the private gym house. It has been close to 3 years I have been doing body weight training and occasionally I still hit to the half equipped gym in my apartment. Well 3 years, you probably expect I would have a muscular body well I don't because I didn't follow didn't train like those professional athletes or gym instructor as I took it as my normal exercise and also I didn't follow the diet which a professional are using but that doesn't it didn't work just because I am not 110% committed to it despite I wanted to. Oh well enough being said let's stick to the topic
While Googling about body weight exercise, I prompt into this website call BodyRock.TV is a website dedicated to keeping you fit and lean with using mostly your own body weight. The website started on 2008 and now have over 100 over millions viewer across the world following the exercise routine. The website was started by a couple name Sean and Zuzana, and to be honest I tend to watch Zuzana exercise routine more than Sean :). She is look amazing with lean body and perfect abs and arms and is crazy how she able to build such a fit body. Little that I know Zuzana Light was previously a p0rn star by the name Susana Spears. She was born in Czech Republic with the birth name of Zuzana Majorova. That being said, it is her past and glad she moved on to be fitness trainer now.
She have left BodyRock couple of years ago and now starting her own site and YouTube channel call Zuzka Light and BodyRock TV has replace their host with Lisa and also sometime they do invite special guest to be their host also they have create another website call DailyHiit.
So pretty much both website promote the same stuff which is body weight training and typically they exercise is to do a certain type of exercise routine as fast as possible on a given time which they use GYMBOSS timer to help them. This type of training is called HIIT - High Intensive Interval Training or also known as After Burn training. This is to max out your heartbeat and to increase the oxygen flow into your bloodstream so that the oxygen is will use to burn fats even you complete your exercise. ( I hope I explain it right) You could watch their training exercise on their YouTube channel or just Google and you will find it.
In addition, the GYMBOSS timer are available in Malaysia - Fitness Concept at around RM100 but you could get it free by downloading their apps on your iPhone or Android device and use it from your phone. The GYMBOSS timer actually works by you setting interval timer like 5min-10sec-5min-10sec. With the Android and iOS apps you could label what those interval are for such as 5min(pushup)-10sec(rest) and so on. At the end of each interval you will hear a beeping sound which help you to change the routine or go to rest and then you record down how many push up you did on a paper to track your performance. It is highly customizable so can set the right amount of time which are ideal for you.
If you tune into BodyRock TV or DailyHiit, they tend to use more equipment like sand medicine ball, bar bell, dumb bell, sandbag and dip station in their exercise routine. Well you can follow by purchased those item but not all of them are available in your country ELSE you could search or their exercise which doesn't need any equipment and it is equally as challenging like the burpees, spiderman push up and so on. Nowadays both website include yoga exercise as part of their routine. Stretching is a very good exercise and is proven since classical Chinese medicine. Using the right way, stretching helps to increase the chi flow in your body and help to detox them. As for modern stretching exercise such as yoga and Pilates is for general health and improve flexibility.
And of course, exercise does come with diet and diet is in sense not by you starve to death but by eating the right food with the right amount and at the right time. I was amaze with Nick Cheung appearance on his latest movie Unbeatable. He was from a skinny body and trained become a solid steel body and best part is he over 40 years old. Saying this means how determination and persistent can achieved. In one of his interview, he mention he was barred from eating any food with oil, salt, carbs and daily intake of 40 egg white per day and that is crazy. Quote form his interview "For nine months, I had egg whites for breakfast, chicken and eggs for lunch, and steamed fish or boiled chicken and salad for dinner. There was no sugar, no oil, no salt and no carbs"
Conclusion, I am not providing any exercise routine and all this info I mentioned above you can find it on the Internet and also I am not in the best shape to advise you how to build a fit and lean body as main I still love my food and sometime I am lazy to exercise. I am just sharing with you that exercise is FREE or at a very low cost and it is all about determination which I am lacking hehehe. ADIOS!

the sound that make me sleep
Remember the time when you were young and during a hot afternoon and it just make you sleepy? And remember the breeze of wind from the fan and the sound of the blade made by the fan make you feel even more sleepy? Well I have that in this summer as I bought a table fan and so far it really remind me of those time when I was a kid when AC are not available. I just like the sound from the fan and not sure why it can sleep just with the fan turn on during summer. :) I hope the fan last long enough for me to use it until I depart from here..
Makan Makan In Qatar - Self Cook; All about FISH
Last week got addicted in eating fish. For almost a year I wanted to cook fish in the new apartment but never did and due to the reason I want to clear my stock of food, I decided to cook fish. So last week me and my housemate had fish 3 times. First was asam fish head, it is good maybe because I used a precooked asam paste. And the second and third time was steam ginger fish, the 1st attempt for the steamed ginger was alright just it is too spicy and I put too much ginger but the 2nd attempt was PERFECT. Now we plan to have fish every weekend and without rice so to keep our weight down. :P. I am not going to put up the recipe for the ginger steam fish as it can be found on Google easily, just a tips - taste the mixed ginger paste before you put it on the fish.

Punching Numbers
Sitting at home and nothing to do always make me open back all my banking statement and look at the numbers. And it seem after merely two year working in QP I don't have much saving as well and was wondering where are my money gone to. So I started adding all the number out debit from my statement although I can't really recall every spending that I did. So the total sum was pretty scary despite I am at Qatar yet I spend so much in Malaysia...... on average I spend about 5000 a month which I seriously don't really believe but then that's what the number shown. I guess I have too many bills and insurance to pay... Probably the next trip back I have reduce some of my liquidity and gain more tangible asset.
More shopping and probably the last....
Yeah,, I bought more things and is something I wanted to get for a while ago just that I am waiting for the price to drop. It is a hard case luggage bag actually. I wanted or needed one as each time I return back from Malaysia I know when I open my current soft case luggage bag, all the food will be smashed. SO patience does it, I actually wanted to buy this since April and I was delaying and out of sudden the price of the bag hike additional QR100. Being in Qatar for a while I know there will be sales again I am not gonna pay additional QR100 that time.
So I got 2.... yup TWO 28 inch hard case luggage bag as 26 inch is just QR30 then might as well I get a bigger one and if my family member want to use they can borrow it as well. Until today my family member all are using soft case bag, I don't know why as I have weight the bag of both type and it seems latest polycarbonate (hard case) bag ain't that heavy compare of soft case. Only advantage is you can expand the bag if you need to.
Oh yeah, this probably not the last thing I will buy, still have to buy some stuff for my mom when I get back, OLIVE OIL as is cheaper here and some hand made soap... oops I bought that also.. pricey soap.

Summer Shopping
Summer is official arrived in Doha and with that so as sales. Summer sales in Middle East are the biggest event because retailer will give offers in order to lure people to come out into the blazing sun. Typically such event doesn't impact me although I admit I get lure to nice thing all the time and always wanted to buy this and that when I see the price is cheap and this happen even I shop for grocery too :)
So this year summer sales what do I bought? I repeated things :( sadly is inevitable. Well back at Malaysia at last trip I bought a hydration bag to my jog during the summer time here in Doha and I was unlucky that the bladder leaks the first time I used it. So I decided to patch the leak myself by heat the bladder and the bag will melt and seal the leak which it works and I used for the next day but problem is when I drank from it the water taste funny, which I decided not to use it as worried about poisoned from dioxin and so I decided not to use it anymore. I did contact the seller and he agree to change but I not sure if he change after seeing the patch that I did, if it doesn't then I will buy a hydrapak bladder and use in the Deuter bag. By the way, I bought an imitate Deuter bag. Lesson learn. buy ORIGINAL! The bag is still in good condition and it fits well.
While I can't wait for the exchange until I go back, there is sales at Go Sport Qatar and I found a reasonable hydration bag from Camelbak. Its original price was QR 550 and is on sale for QR290. Although it is not cheaper than Malaysia as is pretty much the same still I go and bought it. The model is Camelbak Mule with 3 liters Camelbak Antidote reservoir. The bags fits well and carrying a 3 liter water at my back help to increase the resistant for first 30 minutes of my run :). Overall I am happy with the bag. And for the imitate Deuter bag I will get a replacement bladder or Hydrapak bladder and use it at Malaysia then I don't have to carry it with me each time I go home. Buying a new hydration bag for Deuter bag will probably cost the same as original one. :)
