Guys Nights Out

One of my colleague a local Qatari, Mohammed ask to hang out. So there is me, 2 Malaysian, 1 Singaporean and Mohamed himself. So we started to have 2 round of bowling. I scored the lowest haha sucked at it.

 

Souq Waqif Doha

Souq Waqif is like a fleet market, literally translated  to 'the standing market'. Came with my colleague to have lunch and walking through the area I find it a very nice place to hang out but not in summer of course. This place is a good place to buy souvenir  as it is cheap and you can find certain raw food or spices that you can't find in Carrefour.

It is a nice place to hang out at night, drinking coffee with your friends have a long chat. It also have several nice restaurant.The one we had was at Sri Kebaya, a Malaysian restaurant. Food was quite good although is expensive compare back to Malaysia itself but is pretty much OK for Qatar. So I was there in the afternoon and is now summer so didn't get to hang out. I will post more on my next trip... Recently keep thinking I should have bought SLR back in Malaysia before I came. Well....

At night, parking is a problem as is very crowded and you have to pay for the parking.

Ingenious Stupidity

Since I move into my company accommodation I have being having problem taking bath.. not that I actually having a problem but I am not enjoying because of the low water pressure. For weeks or even  months I am battling with this low water pressure..so what happen is today I went to gym.. half way I need to go pee pee and realize the water pressure in the toilet are super strong until you can use the damn hose for fire fighting and all of sudden I remember that are some switch in my house that I have turn off because when I move in I have try to switch on and nothing happen so I switch it off  to prevent wastage.

So back to my house.. I totally forgot about the switch thing.. so I went to turn the tap to wash my clothes and go to the kitchen and saw a switch which is off and I just turn it on to see what it is for. The moment I turn it on I heard a sound of water rushing and I go to check it out the tap I turn on earlier and  DAMN water pressure is BACK baby!!!  That bloody switch is for the water pump and I have no idea all this while as there is no indicator,  no label... nothing and it is located in the kitchen WTF?

So I continue to wash my clothes, and extend to my work to clean the house and go to bath.. Ahhh best bath I ever had... enjoy my bath and gave myself a clean shave.... Well I not sure is my mistake or is the designer of the house mistake putting the switch there.. but then now i got what i want...

Apart from this well today I got 2 good news today, income tax issue my letter of tax clearance so I can send to Dell to get my latest salary that they are holding  and I found a buyer for my Camry which I can stop paying installment for the car as it is not utilized. Although I am sad as it is a good car, ride well, comfy and I love it.


Anyway I am a happy man today

My Office at Ras Abu Abboud

My current working place is located at old QP site, as I have stated earlier QP have over 200 buildings including tower, bunker and many more... So my office is located at a 2 storey small building.

 

But good thing is or bad thing is we are moving to a new office at Doha City which is call Barwa Financial District. Problem is it will only ready in 3 years time but it could even longer than that.

Money does RULEZ, looking at their development plan is crazy. Money can do wonders. If you have the time Google up on Lusail City and Qatar 2022 World Cup stadium. You be amazed. Qatar is slowly turning into Dubai.

ISO 9001:2008 Training at Millennium Hotel Doha

Attended an internal training for ISO 9001:2008. It is a typical training but an interesting one. The speaker is from QP of course, he is an American Syrian and has been working in QP for about 23 years. I couldn't agree more that he is one of the best speaker  I know. Very interesting and motivational training. Here are some photo from the training but a lot of pic of food.. :P. Got to know the certificate is hold some value. Anyway back to the food, well I simply LOVEEEE it.. especially the salmon.. you can see why later.....
