Well since now i got my license, I need to make the 750 that I spent worth while right? Feeling bored I go Google on car. Although I do not need a car as right now I am hiring someone to drive me to work and back monthly and in future I plan to move to nearby my friend place and I can carpool with him to work.

So car in Qatar is relatively cheap because of no tax but that doesn't you can buy a Ferrari here. :) Common car that we have in Malaysia like City, Vios is cost about 50% cheaper and Accord and Camry is probably 50K cheaper. It depends on car and its popularity. Like a BMW X6 it cost about 800K Malaysia, it cost about 240K here. Pretty much car like BMW, Merc are below 500K unless those exotic car like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Brabus those you can expect it cost millions as well just like Malaysia but is brand new. :)  For an example, a 2005 Porsche Cayenne could cost 250K from the grey importer but back in Qatar it probably cost 100K. Overall car in Qatar is real cheap but it is not as cheap to the extend you can buy a Ferrari without thinking thrice. :)

Greed plays an influence role, you thought, oh now BMW is only 150K instead of 300K in Malaysia but can you still afford it? Like I said earlier in my post, salary for Malaysian ain't that great. If you are at Malaysia yeah it is but when you are here.. well it is like peanuts renting a house probably took 50% of it.

Secondhand value is bad in Qatar, not many people buy secondhand car as new car relative cheap and hard to find a good secondhand car because of the weather condition and they way people drive here but you still can find a good car.

Average secondhand car that is around 50K is are pretty old unless it is those mid range car like City, Latio you can get those car pretty new and those secondhand car cost about 25K to 30K

Well back to my search, I have few cars that interest me or car that I want to get in Malaysia which I have no way of getting it. :) and it is all secondhand. I have no plan to get new car although it is advisable but maybe because the car value depreciate a lot and I don't know how long I will be here.
One new trick about the finding secondhand car, is to do a lot of searching because there are expat who leave Qatar for good so they have the urgency to sell their car fast and price can be very cheap as cheap as 30K less!!

Nissan 350Z. Secondhand. Price range 60K to 80K

BMW 630i. Secondhand. Price range 85K to 110K

VW R32. Secondhand. 50K to 90K. I not sure the person who advertise 50K are those expat who desperately want the money or he type it wrongly or the car have major accident.? who knows but if it is 50K  probably that would be my choice.
